Jump the Tracks!

Early Elementary Age

The picture shows (smaller than actual size) what the game board will look like when put together.

This is a great game for 2 or more players, using a railroad/trains theme.  There are "tracks out of service" spaces along the game path which coincide with the "I jumped the Tracks!" obstacle cards, which make up about 1/4 of the total number of cards.  When one of these cards is drawn from the pile, the player moves back to the previous closest "tracks out of service" space.  This games drills simple addition, telling time, and counting money.  The first player to get from the locomotive to the caboose wins!

The jump-start and jump-finish are the two halves of the game board.  Once you have downloaded the files, print them out, mount them on both halves of an open file folder and cover with clear contact paper, or have it laminated.  The skill cards can be printed on card stock paper, laminated and cut apart.  The directions file explains how to play the game.
