Cat-n-Mouse Game
Early Elementary Age

The picture shows (smaller than actual size) what the game board will look like when put together.   You will also need a spinner for this game.  The one I have used for this game has numbers 1-6 and can also be used to learn color blends.  It has the 3 primary colors with the "blends" in between.

This is a great game for 2 or more players, using a cat theme.  There are 6 colored paw prints along the path.  This game can be used with the skill cards I have made to drill simple addition, telling time, and counting money, or skill cards of your own.  Each player take turns spinning the spinner and then choosing a skill card.  If he/she can correctly answer the card, then the playing piece is moved the number of spaces on the spinner.  If a "pawprint" card is drawn, the player will move directly to the colored paw print on the board that coincides with the color on the spinner, whether it means moving forward or back.  The first player to get from the Cat to the Mouse wins!

The catmouse1 and catmouse2 are the two halves of the game board.  Once you have downloaded the files, print them out, mount them on both halves of an open file folder and cover with clear contact paper, or have it laminated.  The playing cards can be printed on card stock, laminated and cut apart.  The directions file explains how to play the game.  And finally, the colorspinner can be printed on card stock and laminated, and then using a hole punch, put a hole in the center of the spinner and the arrow.  Then using a "brad" connect them together, but loose enough that the arrow spins freely.
